Manipulation of Initial Coin or Token Offering "ICO"
During 2017 the new unregulated IPO of cryptocurrency coins became an industry of its own, the ICO. Certain offerings are really securities promising a profit share in a business. The more compliant true tokens are more difficult to value, however. We review offering materials, or whitepaper and business prospects for institutional investors upon request. Certain ICO and whitepapers appear driven by fraud, but that does not mean that there is no (temporary) speculative demand for the coin.
